The trending beat was what I spent most of my time on at DBL -- I worked with the trending producer to source and edit visual elements for new stories each day. I had to dive deep to find the best visuals for a given story, delving into social media, asset catalogues, and news outlets all with enough speed and efficiency to make our tight deadlines. I also learned more about pop culture than I ever had before. The following are some segments I remember, either for their significance or for the sheer large amount of elements I had to deal with.
